imagesofcolorado > "Aslan II"

A male lion (Panthera Leo) photographed at the Denver Zoo. I used a Photoshop filter to simplify the image, and then a layer mask so that I could bring back the detail in the whiskers and eyes. Pumped up the saturation a bit, and used a custom Photoshop action that I developed to do the vignetted edge.

I often have mule deer that come through my yard in Parker, Colorado. One day, a doe was munching on the daylilies in the back yard (I didn’t mind in the least). She settled her fawn down in the zinnia garden, which is just a few feet from the front door. He stayed there for hours.
