There are numerous places in the state to see these fascinating large mammals. They prefer to feed in wetlands and on willows.
"Most Amazing Wildlife Experience"
We found this cow moose and her little calves in the forest. It was very evident that she had just given birth! The mother was licking them and cleaning them up and they could hardly stand. In fact, the littlest one on the left kept falling down whenever it tried to stand up. That is snow in the foreground.
We stayed for about 1/2 hour and watched as the babies nursed and mama tended to them very well.
